🧬 Matrix Repatterning in Toronto

Matrix Repatterning is a leading-edge, evidence-informed therapy designed to restore balance and mobility by treating deep structural imbalances in the body. Unlike conventional treatments that focus only on symptoms, Matrix Repatterning targets the root of dysfunction—often hidden within bones, fascia, and organs—to create long-lasting relief.

“Think of it as recalibrating your body’s internal scaffolding.”
Garnet Santicruz, Certified Matrix Repatterning Practitioner

🔬 How Matrix Repatterning Works

When your body experiences physical trauma—whether from a fall, collision, surgery, or long-term poor posture—deep layers of your structure may absorb and store tension. This deep-core tension often goes undetected, silently altering posture, movement, and function until it leads to chronic pain, fatigue, or dysfunction elsewhere in the body.

Matrix Repatterning uses gentle, sustained pressure to detect and release these internal restrictions, restoring your body’s ability to function easily. The result is improved mobility, posture, energy, and resilience, without forceful manipulations.

📈 Why Choose Matrix Repatterning Over Other Therapies?

Root-Cause Focused: Identifies and treats the actual source of dysfunction, not just the symptoms
Deep-Structural Release: Addresses tension stored in bones, fascia, and cellular tissues
Long-Lasting Relief: Helps reduce compensations and prevents recurrence
Integrative Approach: Works well alongside massage therapy, osteopathy, and concussion rehab

🔁 What to Expect in a Treatment

  • Gentle and Relaxing – no cracking or aggressive adjustments

  • Progressive Unwinding – each session builds on the last, layer by layer

  • Highly Targeted – based on detailed structural assessments

  • Whole-Body Rebalancing – often improves areas far from the original complaint

Many clients experience:

  • Easier breathing and movement

  • Improved alignment and posture

  • Relief from long-held pain or tightness

  • Unexpected resolution of symptoms they didn’t realize were connected

📚 What the Research Says

Matrix Repatterning is backed by over 20 years of clinical study and peer-reviewed research. Clinical findings include:

  • Increased joint mobility and muscular balance

  • Reduction in fascial strain and tissue pressure

  • Improved posture and core stability

  • Regulation of nervous system activity (especially post-concussion)

Dr. George Roth, the founder of Matrix Repatterning, developed this method based on the biotensegrity model, which explains how tension and compression in the body impact total-body health.

MATRIX REPATTERNING FAQ

What is the matrix?

As you may already know from grade school science, the body is composed of cells. Less commonly known is that the shape and mechanical properties of cells are held and determined by a structure called the cytoskeleton. The cytoskeleton extends from the interior of the cell as binding proteins on the exterior of the cells. These binding proteins connect to other cells, creating a fabric interwoven throughout the body in what is known as the matrix.

How does the matrix affect you?

Although resilient, when the matrix is impacted by significant force through injury, the following absorption of this force leads to the rearrangement of molecules within the binding proteins that leave the structure at the area of injury more rigid. This area of rigidity is referred to as a primary restriction.

As the matrix is interconnected throughout the body, a primary restriction affecting the matrix will produce tension outwards, affecting even other areas of the body. Depending on your lifestyle and health, you may be more prone to developing other injuries that create other primary restrictions - further restricting the matrix. These additional injuries and their effect on the already restricted matrix increase the likelihood of strain and pain from seemingly minor injuries.

How is the treatment implemented?

The entire body is first assessed for possible primary restrictions. Symptoms of pain are then corrected through the use of gentle hands-on techniques applied to primary restrictions, in which the end result is the restoration of balance to the body.

How do I dress?

The treatment is done over your clothes, but we do ask that you wear loose clothing or sports attire to speed up the process for assessment.

Why can’t I wear anything metallic?

Metals such as watches, belts, and even underwire parts of a bra can influence the electromagnetic tools we use to find the primaries or root cause of discomfort.
